Girls Take Flight
A fun, free, annual STEM-based event to inspire a new generation to pursue rewarding careers in aviation and aerospace
Girls can become pilots, engineers, mechanics and scientists – the sky is the limit! And at Girls Take Flight, all young learners interested in aviation and aerospace can dream big.
This award-winning and free event at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport takes place once a year and features exhibitors, static aircraft displays, flight simulations, a speaker series and more. Visitors from across the GTA as they get an up-close and personal look at aircraft and airport facilities, learn about science, technology and educational pathways, and meet positive role models that inspire them with possibilities for their future.

EXPLORATION FLIGHTS
A limited number of introductory flights will be available for girls and young women aged 8 to 17, offering a memorable first experience in the cockpit and the opportunity to discover the joy of flying. Advance registration is now closed. A limited number of walk-in slots run on the day at Stolport FBO.
SPEAKER SERIES
As part of Girls Take Flight at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, the day will feature a series of inspiring women from across the aviation industry—from pilots, engineers, students and much more—sharing their stories, the challenges they’ve faced, and the successes they’ve achieved. Whether you’re dreaming of a career in the cockpit or just curious about the world of aviation and aerospace, these talks will spark your imagination and show you the wide variety of opportunities available in the industry.
