Canadian International Air Show

Toronto (August 24, 2023) – Please be advised that the Canadian International Air Show (CIAS) is scheduled to take place Labour Day weekend from Saturday, September 2 to Monday, September 4 between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 3:40 p.m. CIAS practice days are scheduled to be held on Thursday, August 31, 11:00 a.m. to 3:15p.m. and Friday, September 1,12:00 p.m. to 3:40 p.m.

Although, Air Show aircraft are primarily based at Pearson International Airport, two to five participating civilian aircraft will be pre-positioned at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport prior to CIAS event time, and a Search-and-Rescue helicopter will be stationed on the seawall on the west side of the airport during the event, scheduled September 2 to 4.

CIAS organizers are sensitive to the residential communities surrounding Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and have mandated that all participating aircraft will arrive and depart the display area using flight paths pre-determined by the applicable regulatory agencies, while keeping safety of paramount consideration.
